Challenge
The company contacte me to get help in building a machine learning model that would be able to detect electric consumption anomalies based on data from 2 different shopping malls.
Results
An online approach was designed based on a sliding training and testing window together with the next sample to predict outside the train and test windows. In each step of the sliding window approach an XGBoost model is learned on the training window and the z -score is calculated on the residual.
